The practice-oriented program “Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication Design” is offered by Macromedia University of Applied Sciences through its strategic collaboration with the University of Westminster. The course of studies helps students become experts by providing them with comprehension and skills to face the constantly growing demands in the digital media world. It brings together the opportunity for artistic creativity, visual imagination and management of different projects. The ability to think through all facets of the set tasks and turn ideas into quality products is much valued in the industry. Students obtain qualifications in both digital and traditional design. Modules cover understanding of design principles, design thinking, motion design, and visual design. After successful completion of the sixth semester, there is also an option to earn the additional German BA degree. Graduates can find design and professional roles, such as screen and interface designers, web and interaction designers, user experience designers, social media designers, art directors, creative directors, or corporate designers.
