Description
There have been major environmental problems and changes in recent years as a result of pollution and global warming – drought, floods, poor land and water management, which contribute to issues in food production and distribution. The aim of Land Use & Water Management programs is to address these problems and find solutions for them. Students gain technical, analytical, management and decision-making skills and learn how to collect and manage data, classify plants and animals, create sustainable ways to use water, conduct surveys, inspect park facilities, research natural resources, create pest management strategies and more. Apart from theory, students also have the opportunity to do practical field work in order to gain experience and a more realistic perspective on the nature of their studies and the socio-economic aspect of them. Land Use & Water Management programs provide in-depth knowledge and professional qualification. Graduates can pursue careers in landscape engineering, water management, soil conservation, administration, environmental protection, production and processing of materials, project development, consulting, research, policy and more.
