The Diploma program “Medicine” at Medical University of Graz consists of 3 phases. The first one is with a length of 4 semesters and includes initial training in medical skills and communication as well as an introduction to the principles of medical practice, women's studies, gender studies and an exploration of occupational fields. The second one is with a length of 5 to 10 semesters and provides knowledge of the healthy and diseased organism. The third is dedicated to clinical practice and lasts a year. Some of the most important aspects that are conveyed through the curriculum include Epidemiology, Urgency of treatment, Severity and Disease prototypes. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must pass an admission procedure.
