The doctoral program in “Nursing Science” at Medical University of Graz is offered in cooperation with Charité Berlin and Maastricht University. Students are able to conduct independent research as well as participate in comprehensive in-depth training that enables them to critically analyze, evaluate and advance current scientific theories and new concepts in nursing science. The dissertation serves as proof that a student has acquired the ability to independently solve important problems in current scientific research. The prerequisite for acceptance of the dissertation is four publications or accepted articles in which the research findings of the dissertation are presented. The publications must appear in international peer-reviewed journals with the student as the main author.
