Description
The “Master of Arts in Applied Sexology” program at Merseburg University of Applied Sciences conveys interdisciplinary approaches to research and practice in sex science as well as theoretical and methodological-practical approaches to sexual education from a life-phase-related and topic-specific perspective. Over the course of 6 part-time semesters, students learn Sociology of Sexuality: Historical Aspects of Sexual Culture, Empirical Sexual Research, Youth Sexuality, Psychology of sexuality: Individual sexual development and psychological regulation of sexual behavior, Sexual Development and Reproduction Biology, Sexuality in the field of tension between cultural and religious diversity and other subjects. A bachelor's degree with 180 ECTS points in Social work / social pedagogy, Cultural and media pedagogy, childhood pedagogy, Educational sciences / pedagogy / teacher training, Psychology or Human medicine, health and nursing sciences, midwifery is a prerequisite for admission.
