With a duration of four semesters the degree program “Master in Composition” is offered by the Mozarteum University of Salzburg. Apart from the obligatory subjects geared towards the musical theory, electro-acoustic as well as musicology composition, the study course imparts a wide range of courses which students have the opportunity to select the key subjects. A special emphasis is also placed upon the practical work. The program also contains individual lessons. In addition, the course enables students to collaborate individually with the other departments of the university.
