The primary objective of the program “Bachelor of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice” at the Medical School Hamburg is to qualify individuals for the work of academically trained and practically experienced health care staff. The course of studies encompasses fields such as emergency medicine and intensive care, anesthesiology and anesthetics, as well as emergency medicine, and crisis or emergency management. The most essential part is providing students with practical skills and understanding needed to develop new nursing skills in training, research and practice. They are encouraged to think critically and reflectively and contribute to the development of health care and nursing professions. Besides, the program also involves teaching students the fundamentals of economics, business administration, and business process management. They benefit from small class sizes and a friendly atmosphere and are given the chance to directly put their knowledge into practice through collaboration with other degree programs such as “Medical Controlling” and “Management and Rescue Management”.
