Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Health and Nursing Pedagogy” at the Medical School Hamburg is directed towards those who have successfully completed technical degrees in the fields of therapeutic, health and nursing pedagogy sciences. The course of studies is separated into the sub-sections educational sciences, technical expertise including health or nursing pedagogy, and interdisciplinary skills. The first field, educational sciences, encompasses integration of skill-oriented teaching concepts into the structural context of general and job-specific didactics. Not only do students learn to put professional teaching and learning objectives into context, but they also become acquainted with the different concepts and measurements for school administration and development. The second one, technical expertise, enables students to acquire expanded knowledge of the disciplines of oncology and palliative care, health pedagogy and health psychology, health psychological diagnostics, as well as psychological and pedagogical interventions. The third field, interdisciplinary skills, teaches participants how to use economic, societal and forensic concepts and theories for analysis of societal changes and challenges. Graduates can find jobs in schools of the health care sector, schools of health professionals, or vocational school centers.
