The course of studies focuses on current research topics. For example, students are introduced to fields such as educational sciences, medical and natural sciences, as well as educational and medical management and are encouraged to critically review and reflect upon existing research. Moreover, studies also cover training in pedagogical psychology, medical ethics, interdisciplinary team development and management, and research methods. Some of the modules the program comprises are pedagogical psychology, job-related pedagogy of health care professions, professional didactics, and academic research as well as ethics in health and medicine, foundations of quality assurance and quality management, and political systems and sociology. Students are given an opportunity to specialize in one of two elective modules, namely Nursing Sciences or Health Sciences. Graduates can be employed as mentors or teachers in vocational schools, mentors and practical instructors in clinics, or managers of multi-professional teams in health and social institutions.
