The study program “Bachelor of Science in Speech Therapy” at Medical School Hamburg, is suitable for candidates willing to work on the same level with other academically qualified staff on the health care sector. Students acquire specialization in the applied fields of neurosciences as well as the elective modules Health Psychology and Medical Pedagogy. The course of studies also provides participants with research and management qualifications necessary to adopt an approach to interdisciplinary team leadership. Furthermore, it teaches students how to critically reflect their own professional work and make use of the latest scientific research findings within the scope of their treatment methods. They attend lectures and seminars on the individual specifications and are required to take part in different projects in order to apply their knowledge into practical work and improve and expand their practical methodological skills.
