The Münster University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1971, is a public university seated in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. It has another location in Steinfurt. Accomodating some 14,400 students, the Münster University of Applied Sciences is one of Germany’s largest universities of applied sciences. It is organized into ten departments: the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Energy – Building Services – Environmental Engineering, the Department of Architecture, the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Design, the Department of Food – Nutrition – Facilities, the Department of Business Administration, and the Department of Health. In addition to conventional study programs at Bachelor’s and Master’s level, the University offers dual degree and extra-occupational/continuing education programs. The scope of dual degree studies includes the degree courses “Civil Engineering“, “Business Administration“, “Business Administration and Taxation“, “Electrical Engineering“, “Computer Science“, “Mechanical Engineering“, “Technical Orthopaedics“, “Therapy and Public Health Management“, and “Industrial Engineering“. The extra-occupational courses offered by the University are “Auditing, Finance and Taxation“, “Counselling, Mediation, Coaching“, “International Supply Chain Management“, “Social Management“ (correspondence studies), “Business Management in Technology“, “Clinical Casework – Psychosocial Assistance for Vulnerable, Ill and Disabled Persons“, “Industrial Engineering“, “Building Law in the Life Cycles of Buildings“, “Education of Health Professionals – Vocational Education“, “Management in Care and Health Care Facilities“, “Construction Site Management“, “Education of Health Professionals in Nursing“, “Business Administration“, “Mechanical Engineering“, “Social Work“ (correspondence studies), “Industrial Engineering“, as well as several certificate courses. Also, the Münster University of Applied Sciences offers a cooperative doctoral degree program. Graduates receive a B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng., M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Eng., LL.M., MBA, or MCM.
