The study program “Master of Arts in Instrumental Accompaniment” offered at Music and Arts University Vienna provides a full-time Master’s course with a duration of four semesters. This program is an ideal continuation for graduates with previous academic training in a particular musical instrument who wish to further develop their artistic skills. The Master’s program aims to train participants to independently develop problem-solving strategies in order to discover creative solution techniques for complex situations in the field. In addition, students are enabled to acquire expertise in an area of their interest by following some of the elective courses that the program offers. As part of their studies, participants also take modules that familiarize them with the various ways in which a song and an opera, in particular, could be accompanied.
