The study program „Bachelor of Arts in Jazz-Trumpet” offered at Music and Arts University Vienna Kunst provides a full-time Bachelor’s course with a duration of eight semesters. This program welcomes participants with relevant previous knowledge in the field who would like to acquire competencies in the academic acquisition of the trumpet in the context of modern jazz styles. The multidisciplinary teaching method of the Bachelor’s program gives students the possibility to obtain an academic understanding of the challenges of modern musical art practices. In addition, participants could choose from a variety of interdisciplinary modules. Some of the courses offered are namely “Improvisation”, “Training”, “Ear Training Jazz” and “Harmony and Counterpoint”.
