The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Violoncello” offered at Music and Art University Vienna provides a full-time Bachelor’s course with a duration of eight semesters. This program is targeted towards graduates who have already acquired previous music education and who wish to deepen their academic understandings in the use of a specific musical instrument. The Bachelor’s program allows participants to acquire fundamental insights into the core principles of the various stylistic epochs. In addition, the comprehensive training in working with violoncello enables students to be able to incorporate these skills depending on the historical period. Only participants who are not older than 24 years are eligible for admission to this program.
