The University of Music Münster, founded in 1972, is a public school of music seated in Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. It currently accomodates more than 300 students in two Bachelor degree programs and two consecutive Master degree programs. The range of Bachelor studies offered includes the study program “Music and Creativity“ (B.A.Mus.), which has an artistic-creative orientation, and the study program “Music and Conveyance“ (B.A.Mus.), which has an artistic-pedagogical orientation. Each program has a standard period of study of four years. The corresponding consecutive Master programs, which culminate in a Master of Music (M.Mus.) degree, can be respectively completed within one year (“Music and Conveyance“) and two years (“Music and Creativity“). Moreover, the University of Music Münster offers a certificate program where within one academic year students have the possibility to attend individual lectures from the above programs in addition to taking classes in their major subject. Last but not least, the University of Music Münster provides the four-semester certificate program “Concert Exam“ as well as the opportunity for a doctorate (Dr. phil. in art.). Prerequisite to study at the University of Music Münster is the completion of an aptitude test.
