New Design University, founded in 2004, is a private university seated in St. Pölten, Austria. It is sponsored by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce of Lower Austria and its Business Development Institute. It currently has a total of more than 460 students enrolled in Bachelor and Master programs as well as university courses in the fields of Design, Technology, and Business. Leading to a Bachelor’s degree are the programs “Graphic and Information Design“ (B.A.), “Interior Design and 3D Design“ (B.A.), “Manual and Material Culture“ (B.A.), “Event Engineering“ (B.Eng.), as well as “Management by Design“ (B.Sc.). Leading to a Master’s degree are the programs “Information and Spatial Design“ (M.A.), “Electromobility and Energy Management“ (M.Sc.), as well as “Entrepreneurship and Innovation“ (M.Sc.). The range of university courses offered by New Design University comprises the courses “Bood Design“, “Acoustics and Design“, “Food Design“, “Light Engineering & Design“, as well as the preparatory course “Foundation Course“. All applicants must undergo a selection procedure including interview.
