The “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” is a German-taught program with a duration of 6 semesters. During their education, students will dive deep into the various conditions of human developments, troublesome developments and conflicts. They’ll gain in-depth knowledge in the legal and socio-economic conditions for helping interventions and acquire hands-on experience through different practice-oriented seminars. The BA promotes soft skills development such as communication, decision making, critical thinking, conflict management, as well as self-confidence and self-reflection skills. Social workers are needed in various areas, thus graduates can opt for a position in preschools, retirement homes, social administration, social therapy or pursue a Master’s degree.
