The “Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science” program at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 7 semesters. The first semesters of the computer science course provide basic knowledge in theoretical and practical computer science as well as mathematical fundamentals. The later semesters increasingly contain interdisciplinary elements. Some of the topics explored through the curriculum include dealing with the technology and protocols of the Internet, methods of image processing, computer graphics and artificial intelligence, designing and programming apps and applets, the design of websites with the help of modern design tools, operating systems and computer architecture, and more. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must submit a general university entrance qualification, subject-specific university entrance qualification, technical college entrance qualification or equivalent recognized qualification.
