The “Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering” program at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 7 semesters. The course explores how machines and systems work, what happens behind the factory gates of a large plant, how an idea becomes a (initially virtual) product, what is hidden behind Industry 4.0 and other topics. The basis for studying mechanical engineering is solid basic training in the main subjects of physics, mathematics, mechanics, construction theory and electrical and sensor technology. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must submit a general university entrance qualification, subject-specific university entrance qualification, technical college entrance qualification or equivalent recognized qualification.
