The “Master of Arts in Therapeutic Social Work” program at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 3 full-time semesters. The course conveys in-depth scientific and professional knowledge necessary to work in psychosocial counseling, child and youth welfare, addiction therapy and health promotion. Designed as a face-to-face course and structured in 15 modules, each comprising two or four hours per week, the degree prepares students for later conceptual tasks and management functions in the field of social work in health care. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must submit either a Bachelor's degree with grade 1.8 or better (or proof of ECTS grade "A" or "B"), or a Bachelor's degree with 210 ECTS credits in the fields of "Social Work", "Social Pedagogy", "Curative Pedagogy" or "Social Management".
