The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” is offered by Northern Business School in a cooperation with the SBB Foundation for Vocational Education and Training. The part-time curriculum is spanning a standard duration of eight semesters. The method-oriented program is aiming to convey students problem solving competencies in social institutions. Moreover, Communication and Conflict, Professional Ethics, Scientific Foundations of Socio-Educational Action, Project, Process and Innovation Management and many more core subjects are taught. Upon graduation, students are able to build successful careers in social work institutions. However, for admission to the course, a general university entrance qualification or technical college entrance qualification is a must or the proof of a completion of state-certified advanced training.
