Osnabrück University, founded in 1629, is a public university seated in Osnabrück, Lower Saxony. It is divided into nine schools: the School of Cultural Studies and Social Sciences, the School of Educational and Cultural Studies, the School of Physics, the School of Biology/Chemistry, the School of Mathematics/Computer Science, the School of Language and Literary Studies, the School of Human Sciences, the School of Business Administration and Economics, and the School of Law. More than 13,400 students are enrolled at the University in Bachelor and Master degree programs in the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Business Administration/Economics, and Law. The scope of studies partially includes programs that can rarely be found throughout Germany or that cannot be found anywhere else, among them the study courses “Applied Systems Science“, “Taxation“, and “Cognitive Science“. Added to this are the continuing education courses “Child and Youth Psychotherapist“, “Psychological Psychotherapist“, as well as as a continuing education program for imams, pastoral workers and religious educators in mosque communities, and the doctoral degree programs “Advanced Materials“, “Biosciences“, and “Cognitive Science“. Graduates of the Osnabrück University receive a B.A., B.Sc., M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., or LL.M.
