Life Sciences is an academic discipline that focuses on life and microorganisms, plants, animals and humans. Life Sciences have many branches like Zoology, Botany, Anatomy, Genetics, Ecology and more. Developing them and making new discoveries improves the quality and standard of life through healthcare, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture and food science. Life Science programs most often teach subjects like Algorithmic Life Science Informatics, Modeling, Simulation, Statistics, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Model Organisms, Immunobiology, Environmental Science and more, but the main focus is on research – students are encouraged to conduct scientific research in laboratories and learn more about topics and concepts in Life Science like Food and Beverage Innovation, Environmental Protection, Drug Design and Genome Science. Because of the development of digital technology, Life Science students can apply new methods and use software for various purposes. They learn how to gather and analyze data, solve complex societal problems and design drugs with the aid of computers. Graduates can work in consultancy, applied research, teaching, healthcare, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacy, quality control, project management, biotechnological production and more.
