The Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, founded in 1993, is a state-sponsored public university seated in Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt. The University breaks down into nine faculties: the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Process & Systems Engineering, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Faculty of Computer Science, the Faculty of Mathematics, the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Humanities, Social Science and Education, and the Faculty of Economics and Management. There are three forms of studies available: full-time studies, dual studies, and extra-occupational continuing education studies. The dual study courses on offer are “Mechanical Engineering“, “Industrial Engineer: Mechanical Engineering“, “Industrial Engineer: Logistics“, “Computer Science“, “Business Information Technology“, “Engineering Informatics“, as well as “Computer Visualistics“. The scope of extra-occupational studies includes the Bachelor course “Bachelor of Business Administration“, the Master courses “Master of Business Administration“, “Adult Education“, “European Research, Higher Education and Innovation Governance“, “International Technical and Vocational Education and Training“, “Integrated Practice in Dentistry, “Project Management and Team Development“ (in the process of planning), as well as a number of certificate courses. Depending on the respective course of study, graduates of the Otto von Guericke University receive a B.A., B.Sc., BBA. M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., or MBA.
