In a period of three semesters the Paracelsus Private Medical University carries out the academic course “Child and Adolescent Care”, which concludes with the Certificate of Academic Expert in Child and Youth Care. The specific scientific content is intertwined with the development of the necessary skills for individual, empathic young patient approach. The university cooperates with Salzburg University of Applied Sciences in providing the practical training in neonatology, care for families with sick children and adolescents or chronically sick children, palliative care and child and adolescent psychiatry. Legal aspects of these areas are also provided in the modules. The seminars are structured around the discussion of case studies. The experienced teaching staff further guarantee the quality of the training.
