Paracelsus Private Medical University is the provider of further studies in the Medical Sciences, and also gives medical doctors, natural scientists, mathematicians, statistician, physicists, computer scientists, engineers, psychologists, social scientists, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists and dietitians the opportunity to amplify their academic research competence along with developing the PhD project of a relevant academic subject matter. The “Doctoral Programme in Medical Science” is three years long, English-taught and is held at the PMU Salzburg in Austria or the PMU Nürnberg in Germany, together with the associated hospitals. A lead supervisor and two co-supervisors help devise the research papers, there are also three taught modules – PhD Novice, Advanced and Expert. The publication-based cumulative thesis concludes the process of studies and opens up the prospects for further independent academic research, participation in scientific and professional networking, employability in research and academic institutions.
