Paracelsus Private Medical University in Salzburg offers the university courses “Nursing Management/Nursing Education”. They follow a modular basis, and the primary goal is to build a network of specialists in this field of expertise, who would mutually support and inspire each other in performing their responsibilities. There are two profiles: managerial one – prepares specialists in management tasks in the nursing area, and pedagogical one – for specialists in teaching tasks in the nursing area. In response to the modern tendencies in teaching delivery methodology, courses are designed to be taken fully online, which makes them flexible and compatible with work and individual schedules, but also adds new diverse and engaging content presentation techniques. Content-specific topics and soft and social skill development are rooted in the curriculum. There are two consecutive levels in each profile, they conclude with a professional certificate, but can be the basis for the continuation of the studies into a third level - a master’s degree.
