Description
The “Master of Arts in History of Art” study course at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg has a duration of four semesters. It aims to provide profound knowledge about the history of the fine arts, architecture and European urban construction from late antiquity to the modern days. Students learn to cope with various tasks such as collecting, maintaining, researching and imparting the contents of works of fine art and architecture. The curriculum includes the modules of Theories and Methods, Comparative History of Art, In-depth module of choice and In-depth module from the topic area of the MA thesis. Graduates start careers in universities, research institutes, museums, monument preservation, publishing companies, newspapers and magazines, libraries, archives and adult education.
