The Bachelor program “Catholic Religion Education” program at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg lasts six semesters. The teacher training provides an education on the fundamental elements of the Christian faith and its manifestations in history and modern times. Students acquire different methods to analyze and interpret texts from the Bible and abilities to argue and judge in discussions about the church and society. The admission requirement is Matura or an Abitur. Graduates start a career as teachers, pastoral assistants, hospital chaplaincy, youth work and other opportunities.
