The study course “Bachelor of Science in Geology” at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg comprises six semesters. The program aims to provide knowledge about the structure, properties, educational conditions and educational processes of the solid earth and its components. The curriculum examines the subjects such as Introduction to General and Applied Geology, Basics of biostratigraphy, Fundamentals of Mathematics, Basics of physics, Basics of geophysics, Sedimentary geology and Applied and Hydrogeology. Students acquire fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills to learn to work in geoscientific research and development and the management of natural resources. To apply, candidates must have a Matura or equivalent school qualification.
