The program “Bachelor of Arts in Musicology and Dance Science” at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg has a duration of six semesters. It allows students to pursue music and dance as a combined study of the two subjects or choose one and focus on it. The training concentrates on opera, ballet, performance and musicals, film and digital media. Students study the modules such as Historical overviews, Theory of music, Theory, Practice and Aesthetics of Dance, Transcultural Perspectives: Music and Dance and Dance as a culture of knowledge. Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities such as in science, culture management, cultural policy, press and public relations at the theatre, cultural and concert institutions.
