The “Master of Arts in Classical Archaeology and Christian and Byzantine Archaeology” program at Philipps University of Marburg has a length of 4 semesters. The culture and material legacies from late antiquity to Byzantine Middle Ages in the Mediterranean region and Roman Empire are the focus of the course. Greek and Roman culture, Museum didactics, Christian and Byzantine culture, Public relations and other subjects are part of the course curriculum. A completed Bachelor’s degree and proof of B1 knowledge of 2 foreign languages are prerequisites for admission. Graduates are able to pursue careers in science journalism, art trade, museums, media and more.
