PHTW Vechta/Diepholz/Oldenburg, founded in 1998, is a private institution of higher education with locations in Vechta, Diepholz, and Oldenburg (Lower Saxony). It is sponsored by the Berufsakademie Oldenburger Münsterland e.V., the Dr. Jürgen and Irmgard Ulderup Foundation, the Federal Technology Center for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology Oldenburg, the County of Diepholz, the City of Diepholz, as well as the EWE Oldenburg and the Harting KGaA. PHTW currently has a total of round about 700 students. Prospective students are offered dual Bachelor courses, as well as Master degree courses. The Bachelor courses on offer are “Business Administration“ (B.A., also offered with an emphasis on Agri-Food), “Business Administration & IT“ (B.A.), “Electrical Engineering“ (B.Eng.), “Mechanical Engineering“ (B.Eng., also offered with an emphasis on Plastics Engineering), “Mechatronics“ (B.Eng.), as well as “Industrial Engineering“ (B.Eng.). The range of Master degree courses comprises “SMEs Management“ (M.A.), and “Systems Engineering“. Added to this are various continuing education opportunities for companies and its specialists and executives.
