The study program “Master of Arts in Social Work” offered by Protestant University for Social Work and Deaconry located in Hamburg provides an in-depth education, as a subsequence of some chosen perspectives from the Bachelor` s degree. The course of study seeks to teach assignment-oriented, organizing, and administrative skills in social work, in addition to heavy focus on scientific studies. The following three profiles make up the content of the course - fundamentals, conceptualization, research and progress seminars. Students must be capable and prepared to deal extensively critically and practically with academic concerns, fundamental philosophies of social work as well as applied sciences. The regular study cycle is four semesters, during which students earn 120 credit points.
