Reutlingen School of Theology, founded in 1877, is a state-approved ecclesiastical institution of higher education seated in Reutlingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg. The School provides training to ministers and other spiritual workers for congregational and missionary work. It currently accomodates around 65 students in three study programs. The scope of studies offered includes the undergraduate Bachelor program as well as the consecutive Master program “Theology“ (B.A./M.A.), and the extra-occupational Master program “Christian Spirituality in the context of different Religions and Cultures“ (M.A.). Studying theology at Reutlingen School of Theology involves the following subjects: Biblical Languages, Old Testament Studies, New Testament Studies, Church History (including Methodism and Ecumenism), Practical Theology, Philosophy, Psychology, Systematic Theology, Pedagogy, and Speech Training. The study programs are designed to prepare students for professional activities as a congregrational/local minister, deacon, as well as for other activities within or outside the Church (e.g., journalism, publishing).
