The “Bachelor of Arts in Transportation Interior Design” program at Reutlingen University is with a length of 7 academic semesters. The main focus of the course is the conception and design of mobility concepts through to practical implementation. The course is aimed at applicants who, in addition to their creativity and passion for vehicles, enjoy working with shapes and materials, have a certain basic technical understanding and see themselves as part of a future mobility development team. Students not only learn techniques of creative and well-founded form finding, for example of fittings, car seats and the interior as a whole, but also how they can design them with textiles, plastics and leather. Admission requirements include an Abitur, technical diploma or technical college entrance qualification, as well as a portfolio.
