The “Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering” degree at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne is a full-time six-semester program, combined with a practice semester, which can be modified into a part-time one, continueing for two semesters more. The degree is focused on key technologies for the future: energy, automation, communication, information, electronics. The fields of application of the knowledge gained in the program are numerous and the practical side of the studies further extends them. Mathematics, physics, informatics, software development lay the foundations for smart grids, network expansion, electro-mobility, industry 4.0. Soft skills for scientific work and professional interactions are also tackled. The bachelor thesis takes the form of a completion of a real engineering task.
