The “Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering: Electrical Engineering” at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne is a degree which integrates knowledge and competence on both technology and business. It can be done part and full-time, for the maximum length of nine semesters, one of which is dedicated to practice. Purely technically specific electronics subjects will be tightly integrated with the practicle know-how, and, above all, the management skills needed for performing the smooth processes in a production or service-oriented company from beginning to end. Project management, management accounting, consulting in the energy industry, in automotion, in logistics, sales and marketing, will be positions waiting to be filled by such specialists. Mathematics, physics, machine tools and production processes will be dealt with in the foundation phase of the studies, followed by the specialization phase with research bachelor thesis work on a practical engineering task.
