A part-time hybrid, as well as a full-time bachelor program exist at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln, RFH for short, in “Molecular Biomedicine”. It is tailored in such a way as to be work and family-compatible to a maximum degree. The educational approach of the studies is interdisciplinary, and a great amount of laboratory practice is performed. Diagnostics, industry, or academic research could be the fields of application of the obtained degree. Advanced biomedical modules, career orientation, as well as the elaboration of a thesis, are the focus of the second part of the program. Lecturers and students interact in problem-solving and task-based seminars, and the atmosphere of mutual assistance proves to be a lateral gain in beneficial skills forged during the course.
