Description
“Bachelor of Engineering in Process Engineering” is a dual degree offered by the Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne in cooperation with the Rhein-Erft Academy, (Hürth-Knapsack Chemical Park). It is a training-integrated and part-time course, and seminars take place in the evenings and Saturdays through a period of altogether eight semesters. The bachelor’s thesis is also elaborated in the company. Generally, the program is meant to supply the missing qualification of already employed personnel in the production companies, especially those in the immediate vicinity region. Studies focus on chemistry, physics, engineering products and processes. Process simulation and design in a computer aided mode – CAD – will be functionally indispensable for the graduates. Studies of English, accounting and management accounting from the management aspect of the degree, will also be included. The degree will inevitably improve financial and career prospects of its graduates.
