Description
RFH, short for Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln, has a “Master of Science in Public Safety” degree. The duration of the continuing education course is four semesters, which is equivalent to an academic load of 40 credits. Apart from bachelor’s degree, one year of professional experience is also an admission requirement. The structure is organized in ten modules, and a final thesis. Subject matter includes industrial, commercial security, security technology, responsibilities of the state in evaluating risk and devising prevention security plans and measures, detailed introduction to the legal framework of safety measures. Critical infrastructures, mathematical models organization, approval and optimization of safety procedures, are approached from multiple perspectives, so that a solid technical and scientific foundation in the process of application of the studies is achieved. The course is state-accredited and offers good prospects for professional realization.
