The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology” offered at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum public university provides a full-time mono-bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are interested in seeking a career in museums, archaeological institutions, tourism, etc. The aim of the Bachelor program is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge of the academic examination of cultural legacies that have belonged to ancient civilizations. The university’s art collection ‘Kunstsammlung’ allows participants to gain practical knowledge in studying rare archaeological artefacts. Participating in an internship program of at least a month, as well as taking part in an exchange program abroad for a maximum of two semesters is highly recommended.
