The study program “Bachelor of Science in Biology” offered at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum public university provides a full-time combined bachelor course with a duration of six semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who are either interested in gaining academic knowledge of the natural processes that occur in every living organism on the planet or who wish to pursue a career in educational institutions. The Bachelor program requires students to complete two types of internship programs during their studies. The first one consists of a one-month practical school training module, as well as a six-week practical work experience. The second type of internship could be completed by students who do not intend to seek employment as teachers.
