The study program „Master of Science in Biology” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards those with an academic background in a related field, who wish to acquire in-depth knowledge of the natural processes that exist in every living organism on the planet. The Master program encourages students to think analytically and come up with problem-solving techniques to uncovering diseases early on that have occurred in the nervous system of the patient, for example. The program provides participants with the necessary knowledge to find employment in the biotech industry, pharmaceutical organizations and institutes that actively work on establishing an eco-friendly environment for every living organism on Earth. Students are also strongly encouraged to take part in exchange programs abroad, as well as to gain practical experience by completing an internship at a related scientific institution.
