The study program “Master of Education in Catholic Theology” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students who wish to pursue a professional career in educational institutions. The Master program trains participants on how to work with children and young adults when present them with the core notions and dogmas of the discipline. Additionally, the specialization course “Pedagogy of Religion and Didactic Methodology” allows students to gain the necessary pedagogical knowledge to be able to convey certain knowledge in an appropriate school setting manner. During their studies, participants are required to participate in a one-term internship program at a religious institution.
