The study program “Magister Theologiae in Catholic Theology” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of ten semesters. This program is an ideal continuation for postgraduates who are interested in acquiring a doctorate in Catholic theology or those who wish to become pastors. The extensive knowledge with regards to theological education that students of this Master’s program acquire enable them to comprehensively understand the various Catholic doctrines and teachings upon which the Christian faith is built. In addition, participants could gain specialized knowledge in one of the following modules: “Biblical Theology”, “Historical Theology”, “Systematic Theology”, “Philosophical and Theological Boundaries”, and “Applied Theology”. During their studies, students are also required to complete an internship program at an accredited religious institution.
