The study program „Master of Education in Chinese” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards participants who wish to pursue a professional career in educational institutions. The Master program is unique as it does not require prospective students to have completed a Bachelor degree in education. Instead, a related Bachelor of Arts degree is sufficient to apply for the program. Additionally, the module “Didactic methodology of the Chinese Language” prepare participants for a professional career as secondary school teachers. As a compulsory part of their studies, students are also required to take part in a one-term internship program.
