The study program “Master of Arts in Classical Philology (Latin, Greek)” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is an ideal continuation for graduates from the university’s  Bachelor program in Classical Philology who wish to deepen their knowledge of the subject matter. The Master program is primarily focused on the academic examination of Greko-Latin language, literature and culture. This allows students to closely study various ancient works of literature in vernacular and investigate the ways through which they were influenced by the culture from which they originated. That is why proof of Latin or Greek language proficiency is required. The program takes into account participants who could also demonstrate language competencies in two other languages.
