The study program “Master of Science in Econometrics” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is targeted towards prospective students with a previous academic degree in a related field in which knowledge of statistical methods and theories has been acquired. The Master program aims at deepening students’ understandings of the significance of statistical methods to economic data when coming up with problem-solving techniques for various economic issues. Participants are also encouraged to actively discuss social challenges which could be resolved by introducing modern market decisions. The three core specialization modules are namely, “Economic Theory”, “Econometric Methodology”, and “Applied Econometrics”.
