Description
The study program “Master of Arts in Economic and Raw Material Archaeology” offered at Ruhr University Bochum provides a full-time mono-master course with a duration of four semesters. This program is an ideal continuation for participants with a related Bachelor degree who wish to acquire insights into the significance of economy as a science for the study of archaeology. Throughout their studies, students look at some of the financial challenges that extracting raw materials from ancient monuments might bring. The Master program also focuses on exploring the economic components that prevent the further advancement of archaeology as a discipline. Participants are encouraged to complete a one-month internship at a cultural institution.
